Team Practice Times:
Weekday practice times: 5:30pm-6:30pm for 8 and under and 6:30pm-7:30pm for over 8. Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday and Friday 10:00am-11:00am .

All times are subject to change due to weather.

This is a great opportunity for kids to play actual matches.

The tryouts are on Saturday, April 19th & 22nd. The matches are played on Saturdays in May and June.

Both boys and girls play and you don’t have to be available for every match.

It’s a coed team tennis league among area clubs and teams that runs mid-May through late June. We have leagues designed for intermediate and advanced players of ages 12, 14, and 18 and under.

What do I need to do in order to play?

Matches will take place on Saturday afternoons, and each match takes up 2 courts for about 2 hours. Home teams provide 2 cans of balls for each match. You also need at least 3 boys and 3 girls available to play each match.

How much does it cost?

Each player must pay a League Fee of $25. This covers costs of Uniforms, Awards, Online Administration, and Coaching Background Checks. Team fees may also be necessary to cover costs for balls, court fees, etc. They will pay league fees online. Players might also pay team fees for balls, court time and coaching. Also, USTA membership is required to play in the leagues, which is only $19/year. You can get membership at usta.com/membership. NOTE- if a player played on a team in Fall 2011, the uniformed shirt is OPTIONAL, and the League Fee will only be $12.

What is the format?

The format is modified World Team Tennis. Each match will consist of one set each of boys singles, girls singles, boys doubles, girls doubles, and two sets of mixed doubles. You will need three boys and three girls to play each match, as a player can play in no more than 2 matches.

Advancement:

The teams that win each division will advance to the PATD District Championships in July. NOTE: In order to compete at Districts, each team must pay a team fee. Also, players must have played in at least 3 team matches in the league.

There will be a 2.5 Team (Beginner) and a 3.0 Team (Intermediate).

Matches will be on Tuesday or Wednesday and will be played at PCC or other local Clubs.

The Season starts April 17 2012 and ends June 20, 2012.

Junior Golf

There will be ample opportunities at Plymouth Country Club for the juniors to enhance their games throughout the summer with clinics starting in June and running through September. It is then up to the parents to help provide practice time, as well as lessons, and to teach their children about the rules of golf, etiquette, and respect for other golfers on the course.

Alex has been teaching tennis in the Philadelphia Area for over 25 years and is in his 5th year as Director of tennis Instruction at Kinetix Sports Club. He has played at the 4.5 and 5.0 levels and went to Nationals as both the captain of the 2008 Kinetix Mixed Team and the coach of the 2009 4.5 PATD Women’s Team.
